CAN Cable
The following images show a simple do-it-yourself cable that connects the DB9 of the USB to CAN Gateway to the 3 pin Molex CAN connector of an IO board. This schematic details the pin connections.
The cable is a shielded 3 conductor cable and the Molex connector is Digikey part #WM3212-ND. The piece of breadboard was scrap from other projects. Note that the shielding has been used as a strain relief by soldering it to the body of the DB9 connector and to the breadboard. It is a simple matter to use a slightly larger piece of breadboard to daisy chain the cable to multiple IO boards.
